There was lots of excitement at yesterday’s ribbon cutting ceremony for the new fleet of electric vehicles (25 school buses and 10 minibuses) that are serving Lawrence Public Schools this year, including from the people who would know best – drivers! Superintendent Carrero thanked them for the work they do every day, and bus driver Santiago Moya shared his experience so far, emphasizing that the benefits of a cleaner, quieter ride will be felt by both students and our neighborhoods. Thank you to the many partners who have made it possible, including the City of Lawrence, NRT Bus, EV infrastructure provider Zenobé, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) and MassDEP.
