Leahy Middle School eighth graders Jeremiah Ortiz and Ashley Batista Tejada were among the many people excited to participate in the ribbon cutting of the new Leahy school building on Monday, August 18.
“This building is more than just a school,” they shared in their speech. “It’s a symbol of hope and pride for our community. It shows that the students of Lawrence matter — that we are seen, valued, and supported.”
