NWEA Measures of Academic Progress (MAP)
Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) are computerized adaptive assessments available to assess Reading, Mathematics, and Science for students in Grades K-12. MAP tests provide highly accurate results useful for educators to improve teaching and learning through identifying the skills and concepts individual students have learned; diagnosing instructional needs; monitoring academic growth over time; and making data informed decisions at the classroom, school and district levels. In addition, the MAP tests are state-aligned and may be used as an indicator of preparedness for state assessments.
The NWEA MAP assessments are administered in the Fall, Winter, and Spring of each school year. Individual student results are reported as a RIT Score (Rasch Unit) with the corresponding percentile rank and performance level based on national norms. Student academic growth indicators from Fall to Spring and from Year to Year are also reported.

Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS; 8th Edition)
DIBELS are a set of measures for assessing the acquisition of literacy skills. They are designed to be short (one minute) fluency measures that can be used to regularly detect risk and monitor the development of early literacy and early reading skills in kindergarten through eighth grade.
The DIBELS benchmark is assessed three times per year; Beginning of Year (BOY), Middle of Year (MOY) and End of Year (EOY). Students' raw scores with corresponding national percentile ranks and performance levels are reported for each assessment. In addition, student growth measures are provided after each administration cycle.
